We are deligh­ted that you are inte­res­ted in our VoD plat­form dok@home (www.dok-at-home.de). The pro­tec­tion of your per­so­nal data is of par­ti­cu­lar importance to the manage­ment of Inter­na­tio­nal Docu­men­ta­ry Film Fes­ti­val Munich e.V., the ope­ra­tor of this platform.

The use of dok@home is gene­ral­ly pos­si­ble wit­hout pro­vi­ding any per­so­nal data. Howe­ver, if a data sub­ject wis­hes to use spe­ci­fic ser­vices offe­red via our plat­form, the pro­ces­sing of per­so­nal data may beco­me neces­sa­ry. Whe­re such pro­ces­sing is requi­red and no other legal basis exists, we will always obtain the data subject’s consent.

The pro­ces­sing of per­so­nal data — such as the name, address, email address or tele­pho­ne num­ber of a data sub­ject — is car­ri­ed out in accordance with the Gene­ral Data Pro­tec­tion Regu­la­ti­on (GDPR) and in com­pli­ance with the coun­try-spe­ci­fic data pro­tec­tion regu­la­ti­ons appli­ca­ble to Inter­na­tio­nal Docu­men­ta­ry Film Fes­ti­val Munich e.V.
With this pri­va­cy poli­cy, our fes­ti­val aims to inform the public about the natu­re, scope and pur­po­se of the per­so­nal data we coll­ect, use and pro­cess. Addi­tio­nal­ly, it informs data sub­jects of their rights.

2. Coll­ec­tion of Gene­ral Data and Information

Each time our VoD plat­form dok@home is acces­sed by a data sub­ject or an auto­ma­ted sys­tem, a ran­ge of gene­ral data and infor­ma­ti­on is coll­ec­ted and stored in the server’s log files.
The fol­lo­wing data may be collected:

  • Brow­ser type and ver­si­on use­d­Ope­ra­ting sys­tem of the acces­sing device

  • The web­site from which the user rea­ches our plat­form (refer­rer)

  • Sub­pages acces­sed on our platform

  • Date and time of access

  • Inter­net Pro­to­col (IP) address

  • Inter­net ser­vice pro­vi­der of the acces­sing system

  • Other simi­lar data and infor­ma­ti­on rele­vant for secu­ri­ty in the event of cyberattacks

This infor­ma­ti­on is requi­red to:

  • Deli­ver the con­tent of our plat­form correctly

  • Ensu­re long-term ope­ra­bi­li­ty and secu­ri­ty of our IT systems

  • Opti­mi­ze the platform’s functionality

  • Pro­vi­de law enforce­ment aut­ho­ri­ties with neces­sa­ry infor­ma­ti­on in the event of a cyberattack

The anony­mously coll­ec­ted data is sta­tis­ti­cal­ly eva­lua­ted by Inter­na­tio­nal Docu­men­ta­ry Film Fes­ti­val Munich e.V.in order to impro­ve data pro­tec­tion and secu­ri­ty on our platform.

3. Cont­act via the Platform

The dok@home plat­form includes opti­ons for quick elec­tro­nic cont­act and direct com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on. If a data sub­ject cont­acts us via email or through a cont­act form, any per­so­nal data vol­un­t­a­ri­ly pro­vi­ded is auto­ma­ti­cal­ly stored and used exclu­si­ve­ly for pro­ces­sing the inquiry.

4. Rou­ti­ne Dele­ti­on and Blo­cking of Per­so­nal Data

We pro­cess and store per­so­nal data only for as long as neces­sa­ry to achie­ve the pur­po­se of sto­rage, or as requi­red by law. Once the pur­po­se no lon­ger appli­es or a sta­tu­to­ry reten­ti­on peri­od expi­res, the data is rou­ti­ne­ly blo­cked or dele­ted in accordance with legal requirements.

6. Use of Cookies

dok@home uses coo­kies to impro­ve user expe­ri­ence and plat­form func­tion­a­li­ty. Coo­kies are small text files stored local­ly in your browser’s cache.

You can pre­vent coo­kies from being stored at any time by adjus­ting your brow­ser set­tings and can also dele­te coo­kies alre­a­dy stored. Plea­se note that some fea­tures of the plat­form may not func­tion pro­per­ly if coo­kies are disabled.

7. Web Ana­ly­tics Tool Mato­mo (form­er­ly Piwik)

We use the Mato­mo web ana­ly­tics tool on dok@home to anony­mously eva­lua­te user beha­viour. No data is trans­mit­ted to third par­ties. IP addres­ses are stored only in a trun­ca­ted form. You can opt out of data coll­ec­tion by Mato­mo at any time.


8. Data Pro­tec­tion Pro­vi­si­ons for Pay­ment Ser­vice Providers

We use pay­ment ser­vice pro­vi­ders such as Stri­pe or Pay­Pal to pro­cess tran­sac­tions on dok@home (e.g., ticket purcha­ses or film down­loads). Pay­ment data such as names, account infor­ma­ti­on, or cre­dit card details are trans­mit­ted direct­ly to the respec­ti­ve pro­vi­der. We do not recei­ve or store com­ple­te pay­ment information.

Pro­ces­sing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR as neces­sa­ry for the per­for­mance of a contract.


9. Use of 1o1 for Strea­ming and Pay­ment Processing

For the pro­vi­si­on of strea­ming ser­vices and pay­ment pro­ces­sing on dok@home, we use the ser­vices of the third-par­ty pro­vi­der 1o1 (1o1 Media GmbH, Ger­ma­ny). When you stream con­tent or make a pay­ment on our plat­form, rele­vant data such as IP addres­ses, access times, and (whe­re appli­ca­ble) pay­ment-rela­ted data are trans­mit­ted to 1o1 as part of the tech­ni­cal pro­ces­sing of the­se services.

This pro­ces­sing is car­ri­ed out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (per­for­mance of a con­tract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legi­ti­ma­te inte­rest in secu­re and effi­ci­ent ser­vice delivery).

We have con­cluded a data pro­ces­sing agree­ment (DPA) with 1o1 in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR to ensu­re that your data is hand­led in com­pli­ance with data pro­tec­tion regulations.

10. Chan­ges to This Pri­va­cy Policy

We reser­ve the right to amend this pri­va­cy poli­cy at any time with future effect. The cur­rent ver­si­on is available at all times on dok@home.
