FASIA fought against racism and sang for jus­ti­ce, equa­li­ty, and peace.

Fasia Jan­sen (1929 – 1997) was a powerful blues sin­ger from Ham­bur­g’s working class. The
daugh­ter of an Afri­can king and diplo­mat bare­ly sur­vi­ved the Nazi régime. Along­side women she
cam­pai­gned against racism, fascism, and oppres­si­on, sin­ging for world peace. First released in
1987, the film has been digi­ti­zed, revi­sed, updated and re-released as a cine­ma docu­men­ta­ry in
